Research Design through applying Design to emergent technologies, cultures, and business models.
Yes. All of them, we essentially live in two completely different worlds, i literally wrote a book for my research report. just because i can do so many things more, like the different ways of working are mindblowingly different.
My honest hot take is. Maybe the best users are already here, its just not humans, but its bots that becoming more "agents".
Happy to brainstorm that more, we did a bunch of work last year through @design when we worked with @karma3labs on reputation systems. I deeply believe there are things that could fundamentally improve and change our perception of some of those tools by thinking about social graphs not as content feeds but as what they are: social networks.
Honestly I am just surprised we have not seen the inverse more. We try hard to make social more financial, but not really yer financial more social. I want lens user names in my wallet address book, I want to login into my defi app and see a list of the people i follow and their latest trades, i want to have a degen chat, i want to see what pools people I know are in on aave etc..
not disregarding the idea and power community feeds can have, but i am just simply sad we consider this the “default” view mode. like the pandemic experiments like gather.town just felt so much more humane
The Onchain Dark Forest as Theory essentially. <en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prisoner%27s_dilemma#:~:text=The%20prisoner's%20dilemma%20is%20a,worked%20at%20the%20RAND%20Corporation>.
Agree, I am also continuously amazed how some of the old games age with such grace. Like Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 still looks amazing in all honesty.
I would say guest account plus. Like I would love to get a teaser in a LENS app, what the "yeast" experience could be, since all data is onchain, there is no need to connect first, you can still gate keep some features, but like stalking wallets (yours @stani 😘) in family or rainbow, it should be easy to just get a teaser of your future experience.
best way to post on Lens on mobile so far. I use Hey on desktop, Orb mobile.
