Throwback to ADE continues. Today revisiting an interview series with Spinnin’ Records, a Dutch powerhouse label. 5 months after this piece they were acquired for $100 million by Warner.
One of my interview questions which probably still stands in 2024 -
“If you only had $100 to spend on marketing an artist, what would you do?”
Meindert: If you have a limited budget, it means you have to be creative. You have to invest more in yourself, and what you can think up. I would suggest organizing a remix competition, or doing a pop up show, to get more leverage.

btw - thinking to move these to @t2world because the ads are onbnoxious on the HP site
True luxury is not about buying expensive things; it’s about living in a way where we appreciate things
This belief of mine goes beyond fashion—it’s a way of living
As someone passionate about fashion, I want to use it as an example to show you why this statement holds true for me, and why I believe it can enhance our lives in countless ways
If I sell you a T-shirt for $3000, you might call it luxurious. But if I sell you the same T-shirt for $20, you probably wouldn’t think of it as luxury anymore, simply because society wouldn’t label it that way
But who or what defines luxury? Is it the brand label sewn into the collar? The price tag?
I believe that a $20 T-shirt can be just as luxurious—perhaps even more so—than the $3000 one. Why?
Because its true worth lies in how it resonates with us, how it connects to the essence of who we are. What makes something luxurious is the emotion it evokes
Think of any special memory you have—the clothes you were wearing at the time—those garments may not have been from a high-end brand, but that doesn’t diminish their value to you
Consider a hand-knitted sweater from a local artisan, a hoodie supporting a cause you care about, or a garment made from sustainable materials
We don’t buy them just for the fabric; we buy them for the stories they tell—stories of love, care, and consciousness
Each piece in our wardrobe, whether a $20 T-shirt or a $3000 designer piece, holds unique value
It reflects our journey, our choices, and our individuality. We are the ones who make a garment luxurious.
True luxury is not about how much we spend, but the value and meaning we derive.
Now, take this idea and apply it to life as a whole. We’re constantly chasing the most expensive things, convinced they’re priceless
But are they? Who decides their worth? Where does true value lie?
The answer is within you—your journey, your choices, your individuality
You are the one who defines what’s valuable
Instead of chasing fleeting objects, events, or experiences simply because society labels them as luxurious or “worth it,” look inward
Search for the things that truly have value and meaning for you🌹
i mean, entirely. not just for that time period, but since. why? looks like the same generally applies to farcaster usage as well @p00ls @superrareco @bellosights @stack
are we really THIS stuck on the fascist platform? cannot survive as companies without hopes that some racist incel basement dwellers will collect art by seeing it on what is now the modern 4chan? where are the women's voices? the platform in cahoots with the candidate that's going to make women TAKE PREGNANCY TESTS TO TRAVEL OUT OF STATE in america. troubling. annoying. sad.
I'm working on a new concept for a tournament that awards the "Most Average" score.
It's called a "Bell Curve Tournament" since the winner is the "Most Mid".
In the end it will be used on anybody.gg (@triflelife) to run:
ANYBODY BELL CURVE TOURNAMENT where ANYBODY CAN WIN
FYI from the discord.
If this was you @noteligible for the OP airdrop they fixed a bug so some people that actually were but mistakenly saw the opposite can now claim.
Most are probably still @ineligible but take a moment to enjoy that thin silver lining ray of sunshine hope and optimism* before checking again
Full disclosure I don’t have any money
