World-class design often becomes indistinguishable from art. Design can be beautiful. Design can be presented in art museums next to Monets. That's awesome; it's a celebration of so many things I love about this discipline.
But that's not the goal.
The paradox of design is that worrying about pixels is exceptionally low leverage while also understanding that the fight against entropy in your system inherently leads to a higher quality product, which is high leverage.
In simpler terms...
The border radius of your buttons isn't going to make or break your business, and if it's all you speak about, your value to the organization goes down.
But... that border radius does matter. The storefront should be swept, ya know?
