Rosie & Joe: Cat Gang

Living in New Orleans has taught me you never have to buy a pet, given time, and chance, they will find you.

So, when we had the opportunity to develop an animated series it's no surprise that we drew inspiration from our roster of animals cohabitating with us.

Before there was Rosie & Joe the animated mini series there was Rosie Comic. She was also the co-star of another comic, Privacy. Rosie was an obsession of mine and she found herself in various iterations of my creative pursuits.
Joe, the bug eyed and somewhat sadistic cat is based off Joe "Pamplemouse Laqoix". Her origin story is far more humble, Anthony and I found her in the parking lot of a Walmart. We brought her home and Rosie saw her, wagged her tail, gave her a small lick and that was it, they were best friends.

Rosie passed away in December 2021 and she's missed but Rosie & Joe is a reminder of the impact she had on our lives.
