Pretty cool career moment for me in getting my first Spotify playlist cover
I wrote this down as a goal at the beginning of the year with literally no clue how it would happen
Sometimes things fall into place - KEEP GOING!
Hi everyone,
I’m demotapes, I make music out of my basement studio in San Francisco. I’m a fully independent artist, and started this project back in 2020. Last month, I released my debut EP called “with friends”. It’s a collection of 5 songs I’ve put together over the last year with some of my best friends in music. To me, music is at its most pure when you’re making and sharing it with your friends. The excitement and inspiration I get from working with other people is where I get most of my creative energy, and my goal is to help to give as much of that energy back as I can.
I’m releasing the “with friends” project on @soundxyz_.lens with @familyaffair.lens. Working with them felt like the perfect fit, they’re building a community and home for artists like me.
Today, I’m releasing my song “no sense” with one of my favorite artists “ANDREWBATES” on Sound. I’ve explained a little more about the song below- but thank you for being here! 💜
Welcome to Family Affair.
Family Affair is a project dedicated to artists who want to break the mold. To artists who want to challenge what it means to release music in 2023.
Founded by Daniel Allan - a leading artist in Web3 - our strategy will revolve around a Web3 backbone coupled with innovative release strategies curated to each artist.
This project isn't only about the music - it's about the people and the stories behind the songs.
We hope that you join us not only in telling the stories, but in being a part of our very own.
Let's make it a Family Affair.
One of the first music NFTs I ever collected was “Sinners” by @rac.lens
I’ve always admired his work in the Web3 music space, and on Sound, I’m his earliest collector still holding
I wrote about his new drop in today’s @invinmusic.lens spotlight. Check it out and collect for free!
