yes! I’d use Lens more if my friends outside of web3 were here. 3 invites to start
1 per Lens user today,
3 per super user
5 per founder / builder
and…..
100 for one 1️⃣ web2 influencer - with a competition to figure out which influencer this should be.
Just ideas 💡
I think it should be one, if that one person met the requirement then another one. Requirements can me many things, Or every three months one. In general its good idea to have invite system but it should not become business.
Ser.. can i have 5.. i have a little tg group of 100 new people trying to onboard crypto. Bless u
5 invites for people that are active and only 1 for people that seem unactive maybe or act like bots? And also the option to "refill" the invites by being active on Lens. Being somehow recognized.
I personally would be extremely decisive about who I invited in, so 1 a month if that. With such a limited quantity I would be very careful with who I invited in because we’ll I might not get another one for another couple months.
Yes. Invites should be extended to users according to their engagement. You therefore incentivise engagement and ensure that highest quality users are bringing in more high quality users.
Yes ( great idea since it's still a beta test)
1-10 is fair, account quality will be used for the distribution ( will leave that to the team to decide)
There are many knowledgeable individuals who can greatly contribute to the growth of the Lens ecosystem. However, due to the private nature of this phase, they do not have access to or the ability to utilize the features of the Lens Protocol. The right to invite new individuals by Lens users who possess the competence and qualifications can bring forth numerous opportunities and exciting developments for this ecosystem.
Definitely. I'm not sure how many invites would be best, but there should be a way to make sure they're only being given to the "real" users. I can imagine all the airdrop farming fake accounts trying to sell them.
Yes it definitely makes sense in my opinion.
I'm currently using Twitter, Bluesky, Farcaster and Lenster. Because I'm able to invite people to Bluesky and Farcaster I'm actually able to grow my following through existing connections, and as a result, feel like I'm currently getting better use/engagement out of those platforms than I am here...despite preferring Lens as I think it's more feature-rich for creators, and especially due to the "collect" feature.
As an artist/creator, it's harder to create/find new connections, than it is to onboard existing ones. I think an additional benefit to having an invite system is that it can be tuned to encourage what I would call thoughtful curation of invites...inviting quality users who post and use the platform is the emergent behavior that we'd want...inviting spammers and squatters should be deterred, and probably have that taken into account when invites are rewarded. Good invites result in more invites being granted, bad invites result in less being granted.
Id start slow. Maybe just give every profile one invite and see how it goes.
I’m curious how most people would use their invite. Give it to a friend? Sell it? Engagement farming giveaway? Create a second account for themselves?
I believe it’s a good time for it. And it would be fun to see how the TL changes.
For the normal user I think 1 invite for each user would be great. This way they really think about who to give the invite too. For developers more invites would be better, we have a lot of people who want to come on over. Developers should be getting a minimal of 10 or even more I think.
It might even be interesting to make it 'renewable'. So each month you can give 'x' invites. Also for the normal user. This way the 'influx' of users can be coordinated.
absolutely! 5 to start is good. people always ask me how to get a lens handle or if I have any invites
Also give me 5% of earnings as referral bonus. Would incnetivise proper teaching a d introduction
5 tops, and in the future u get more or less based on the reputation ranking of people you invited
