Welcome to the world of Polygon zkEVM,
As the new chapter of blockchain is almost upon us, it's time to pay homage, ‘To Ethereum, with Love’.
“Today’s launch is an incredible milestone and the beginning of a new chapter for blockchain technology, fulfilling Ethereum’s original promise of becoming a true 'world computer' and creating a fairer, more egalitarian internet for all” said Mihailo Bjelic, Co-Founder of Polygon.
This official NFT from Polygon Labs is a free, celebratory, open-edition, soulbound NFT, forged on the blockchain that started it for us all, Ethereum.
Holders of this SBT will forever own this moment of Web3 history and be part of what's to come…

ARB GM - 1/3
Everybody talks about ARB drop, its TLV, and price on listing but almost no one knows why Arbitrum has the highest TLV and what the benefits #Arbitrum network brings to us compared with #Optimism.
Let's start with the basics!
#Arbitrum and #Optimism are Layer 2 scaling solutions that aim to boost Ethereum's transaction throughput by taking computation and storage off-chain. They utilize Optimistic Rollups, which only submit minimal transaction data to the Ethereum base layer, significantly reducing gas fees and network congestion.
One of the most critical aspect that #Arbitrum and #Optimism takes differently is security. Arbitrum uses the AnyTrust protocol, which guarantees the correct execution of off-chain transactions as long as there's at least one honest participant. This interactive dispute resolution system enables efficient challenge-response mechanisms to resolve disputes quickly.
While Optimism employs a fraud-proof system that relies on validators to submit proofs of incorrect transaction execution. Validators are incentivized to watch for fraudulent transactions and are rewarded for exposing them. The two systems have their merits, but Arbitrum's AnyTrust protocol provides a more efficient and faster dispute resolution process.

Scalability is the name of the game in Layer 2 solutions, and #Arbitrum outshines #Optimism in this regard. Thanks to its unique off-chain computation model, Arbitrum can process transactions faster and at lower costs compared to Optimism. While both solutions leverage Optimistic Rollups, Arbitrum's execution engine allows for the parallel processing of transactions, further enhancing its scalability.

Moreover, Arbitrum employs a technique called "time-locked transactions," which enables asynchronous interaction between the Ethereum base layer (L1) and Arbitrum Rollup (L2), reducing the latency of cross-layer communication. This feature makes it an ideal choice for decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts that require real-time interaction between L1 and L2.

Interoperability is crucial for seamless communication between different blockchain layers. #Arbitrum achieves this through its outbox mechanism, which allows messages to be sent from L2 to L1 securely and efficiently. This approach ensures that messages sent from L2 to L1 are always in the correct order, preventing potential inconsistencies and security risks.
#Optimism also emphasizes interoperability but adopts a different strategy. It uses the Canonical Transaction Chain (CTC) and State Commitment Chain (SCC) to ensure the proper ordering and validation of transactions between L1 and L2. While both Arbitrum and Optimism aim to enhance Ethereum's interoperability, their differing methods cater to different use cases and preferences.
