~ Introducing ABOUT YOU ~

I made a right off the country highway and pulled into the driveway of a one level red brick house with weathered forest green shutters and blooming dandelions sprinkled among the lawn.

I closed the door to my car, looked up at the rusty dusk sky and began walking towards the garage where I heard a red light green light of instruments playing with burning passion and pensive angst.

There was a warmth radiating from the stage—not just the flame from the 55 gallon barrels fueled by the local newspapers—but from the billowing harmony of instruments sonically foxtrotting on stage.

My ears registered the sound as “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” spread over a 78 strategically started and stopped by an orchestra conductor who just parachuted in from a retreat at Yosemite National Park.

…And this is just what I envisioned as I closed my eyes and listened to About You’s single “MoNa.” Now I must say, the music About You creates is electromagnetic and worth many listens many times over.

~ Introducing KIYDRAH ~

Imagine driving around Texas, late at night in a 5 seater, listening to hypnotic basslines riddled with arboreal echoes.. or briskly two stepping through a metropolis subway station with a 5 gallon bucket drumkit clacking in the corner matching your heart rate as you maneuver to the train.. all drizzled with silky reassuring syllables.. yeah, that's Kiydrah.

Listening to tracks like STAY UP you'll notice melodic waterfalls cascading down chiseled empowering shoals accompanied by lyricism that is jovial and calculated, buoyant and determined. Or watching the music video for POURRIN you'll truly understand how Kiydrah embraces the journey of life--the hail, the wind, the meadows, the cliffs, the rock falls, the sunshine..
