Key takeaway:
→ Web3 music has tons of promise for both artists & fans. We're just waiting for more people to catch on & truly see its power. But before that happens, we need to make sure we've got a few things right.
Here's the ALPHA from our speakers-
🔶 @sinfulmeatstick shared how @decentraland saved their content creation hustle and led them to hosting spaces, inspired by talented musicians and DJs. Now, they're deep into the web3 space curating awesome experiences. 🚀
🔶 Sound Rig really cares about making awesome music experiences. They pointed out how, with the rise of streaming, people are just putting out content for free, and it's kind of taken away the magic of connecting with musicians on a personal level.
🔶 @nitish discussed the struggles of the traditional music industry and emphasized the difficulty of getting featured on popular playlists. Web3, however, offers a solution by returning control to artists & enabling connections with a wider fan base beyond personal circles.
🔶 @cammurdoch made a good point – in the collaborative world of web3, making things fairer for artists is doable. But the key is whether your fans are genuinely interested in joining the web3 or NFT space and engaging with your work. That's the real nut to crack.
🔶 Craig Bruder said web3 artists are essentially artists, & Web3 is just a new way of monetization. Right now, many artists are using Web3 as a selling point, but I see it more like hiding the wires in the back—music is still the main product & the center of attention.💯
🔶 @niftysax pointed out that the toughest part in this field is attracting more collectors, especially when the market is down. They also mentioned that even though web3 might not bring in big profits right now, it's loaded with possibilities for the future.✨
🔶 Mimi Mitani said the web3 space should be friendlier to folks who aren't tech-savvy, like many of my musician friends who aren't into technical stuff. Making it easier for people like them to log in and use these platforms could make web3 more popular.🤘🏻
🔶 Spozz suggests artists aim higher. Currently, artists invest in platforms like Insta or Facebook to bring fans to Spotify, but the issue is Spotify doesn't give access to those fans. It's like investing in Spotify's future, not your own. Food for thought!💯
To conclude, Web3 music has so much to offer for both artists & fans. To make it really take off, we just need to nail down a few things, like making it easy for users to get started, and a few other important aspects.
A big thanks to our speakers for joining us & sharing their insights💛

Key takeaway:
→ The future belongs to DeSo platforms, thanks to their unique qualities & features that set them apart from traditional counterparts. As we progress, anticipate a rising tide of Dapps shaping the landscape.
Here's the ALPHA from our speakers:
👉🏻 @rileybeans highlighted the seamless development experience offered by decentralized platforms. Tools like @airstack_xyz have notably simplified the process of building on these platforms, making it much more accessible.
👉🏻 @mrwildenfree discussed the efforts of companies such as @crossmint and @thirdweb in developing a user-friendly wallet abstraction. Imagine it as simple as entering your email & the system automatically generates a crypto wallet for seamless interaction with the platform.
👉🏻 @mesutgulecen of @kaira advises Dapp builders to incorporate web2-style onboarding and user experiences, given the current user base's familiarity with traditional platforms. The key is finding a sweet balance between web3 and web2.
To conclude, the future belongs to decentralized social platforms, given their immense potential. Once we nail down crucial aspects like user onboarding and experience, a significant shift from web2 to web3 seems inevitable.
A big thanks to our speakers for joining us and to everyone who tuned in!❤️🔥
