iOS-based music maker and DJ, creating and promoting music NFTs for the people.
GM music lovers.
Twitter is a cesspool, and I hope we can all free ourselves from it one day.
I'm going to share a bit of alpha with you now...
Back in 2005, I created a music podcast called Dave's Lounge. It was born out of the frustration that all my favorite new music had no publicity, so I decided to give it some. The podcast was focused on downtempo electronic music, though I made exceptions for the right songs. It briefly became a radio show, which I labeled "Volume 2", on a low-power FM station for a couple years, but by 2017, I was burnt out on it, and I brought the show to close.
I'm now seriously considering doing a "Volume 3", which would be a web3-centric (and not genre-specific) music show that would be distributed as an NFT. The utility of the NFT is that the artists get paid; every artist whose music appears on the show would receive a portion of the mint money every time an NFT is minted.
It's like selling mixtapes out of the trunk of my car, but on the blockchain, and everyone on the tape gets a cut.
I'm introducing this idea to past Dave's Lounge listeners today with this new mix on Mixcloud, which features music I found on web3 last year. Frankly, I'm expecting a lot of backlash for this, given the amount of anti-NFT sentiment out there in the real world. Still, this is something I'd like to do, because I believe web3 musicians need more people to champion them and their efforts. We're still in a bubble of sorts, and it's time we did more things to help us break out of it.
Here's the mix:

GM Lenster friends. Found this bit of my musical history in my garage last night. Back when we thought the "MP3 revolution" would change music forever. All I really learned then was that my production skills needed a lot of work.
At what point does Elon Musk admit he's out to bankrupt Twitter and get a tax write-off for it?
Web3 relies too much on Twitter, and Twitter hasn't been all that reliable lately. We need to start figuring out alternatives.
GM. Today's my birthday, and guess what? YOU are getting the gifts today!
The first 8 people to reply to this post with their ETH wallet address will receive NFTs of all three songs from my Mint Songs drop last summer. Get a piece of Tenth Key history for nothing, plus all the utility that comes with it!*
(* - There's no utility. Enjoy the free music, though!)
GM, Lenster peeps. I'm Dave, and I release music under the name Tenth Key. Here to chatter about all things Web3 and music NFTs.
