I think lots of people complain Layer 2 just because they did't earn money from Layer 2.
Mighty Jack Flintlock had heard of the legendary Vana Coinempress, ruler of an island where gold flowed like water. But it wasn’t her wealth that drew him—it was her fierce spirit. Disguised as a trader, Jack approached her with a rare black pearl, offering more than just a trinket: a life of adventure on the open sea.
The Coinempress saw through his disguise but felt the same hunger for freedom that flickered in his eyes. With a daring smile, she agreed to join him, leaving behind her throne of gold for the thrill of the unknown.
Together, they sailed into the night, plundering treasures and forging a bond stronger than any riches. Jack had found his greatest treasure—not in gold, but in the wild, untamable heart of the woman by his side.
This week on Creator Spotlight, we're honored to have @blakefinucane!
From earning a master’s in Art History to running an NFT fund, to now hosting a podcast and much more, Blake is blossoming in the @lens ecosystem 🌺
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
"I published the first academic thesis on crypto art, as part of my art history master’s degree back in 2018. This lead me to run an NFT fund from 2021-2023.
I strongly believe that for crypto technology to truly reach its full potential, it must be made hyper accessible, which inspired me to launch the 'Context' podcast with @boysclub. The goal is to highlight how crypto intersects with cultural applications including art, music and fashion"
What type of content do you create? How do you come up with ideas for your content?
"I create audio content through my podcasts and short form videos which support and further explore the ideas I discuss on my podcast.
I also have my /context group on @orb where I post all my videos as well as other thoughts/photos/updates around the topics I cover on my pod."
What's been your experience with Bonsai?
"I've loved it so far! I've used it primarily to buy art on @orb. I genuinely think that Orb is home to some of the most experimental and interesting artists working with crypto right now, so that's been exciting to be apart of.
I want to further exlpore the minting mechanic on Orb for some of my content, in particular my videos and long form writing."
What do you have going these days?
"I am releasing the next episode of the pod to mint featuring Nina Chanel Abney, who was the first (and maybe only!) artist to be part of the Punk in Residence Program with CryptoPunks.
The reception of her Punk project was very polarizing and its the first time she is talking about her experience working with CryptoPunks publicly on a podcast."
