As part of trying to be an active user of lens, will be posting random thoughts (shit) lol
There was this NFT project that I really looking forward to. Project related to music, have an music artist that I liked.
However, post AL minting, I notice they have too many 10 NFTs holders which is just weird since the traded volume doesnt seem to reflect that much crowd. Digging deeper, I realized their own team is sweeping their own NFTs.
Nothing wrong with doing that, but really just not something I like.
IMO, this is kind of spending is capital inefficient. All this does is create fake hype (leaning towards cheating new people onboard), and this money spent doesn't goes to actual fans (goes to scalpers taking profits and hurting hodlers since leads to higher mint price)
Improvements in this release
🛠️ Simplified integration for React web apps. Install and import from [localhost:3000/u/lens-protocol/react-web
](@lens-protocol/react-web%60) with less configuration.
🔐 Token-gated support: You can now create encrypted posts and comments which can only be read by users that match the criteria you define.
🪪 Active profile is automatically wired as the Observer ID of all relevant queries. Doing so the Lens SDK provides a cohesive view of the data that is relevant to the eye of the Active Profile.
What's new?
New [localhost:3000/u/lens-protocol/react-web
](@lens-protocol/react-web%60) package for a simplified React web apps integration
Token-gated posts and comments
Cohesive data fetching using Active Profile as Observer ID
Enhanced fields for ProfileStats
and PublicationStats
Added appId
to LensConfig. Allows you to identify posts created by your app. You can then use the sources
to filter posts by the same App ID
Added useProfilesOwnedByMe
Added useProfilePublicationsForSale
The way @beatsapp.lens is crushing our own high scores for independent musicians every week just blows my mind.
Music is definitely social I think we’ve proven that over and over. For everyone who’s still in doubt to wether Music on Lens is here to stay…
I think me and the team have shown countless times we’re just getting started 😎 + we def got the strongest music community on Lens by milessss
ARB distribution model was designed by Nansen 🔵 🦅
+2,300,000 addresses bridged to Arbitrum before the snapshot.
Online 625,143 were eligible for ARB. Only around 30%!
What can we learn from their report?
5 key take-aways so you don't get excluded from airdrops ⚡
1/5
Eligibility Criteria:
Conducted transactions: number, value, and time thresholds
Arbitrum Nova: bridging & conducted transactions
Dapps and Governance activity
Liquidity providing
💡 Take-away: the more different activities, the better. Be active!
2/5
USD Value. I know this is a given, but it's important to stress out.
• The majority of wallets transact on small USD amounts
• The majority of wallets got small airdrops (USD value terms)
💡 Take-away: more volume = bigger airdrop. But you didn't need to be a whale to get it!
3/5
The number of transactions
• The majority of the wallets made 1-2 transactions (1M+ wallets)
• Only 100k wallets made 50-100 transactions
Median = 3
Average = 28
💡 Take-away: more transactions = more valuable airdrop.
Become a recurring user.
4/5
Sybil wallets:
• The Arbitrum Foundation wanted to exclude sybil wallets from getting the $ARB airdrop
• Sybil wallets = wallets with similar/fake activity, with the pure intention of hunting for an airdrop
• 172k wallets excluded
💡 Take-away: be user, not a "hunter"
5/5
Negative criteria ⚠️
This is a new concept: some actions subtracted points, i.e. they hurt the user's individual points to get ARB.
These users got less ARB:
• All transactions in a 48h period
• Interacted with only 1 smart contract
• Low ETH balance in Snapshot day
There's a lot more data in their official report.
