10 years ago today I interviewed for the mailroom internship at @Endeavor as a high school senior

I took the day off from school and was halfway to the office on the 405 freeway when I got a call telling me I had to reschedule bc all the streets were shut down around the building and I wouldn’t be able to find parking

Fearing missing another day of school I told them I would figure it out and I’m coming, called my mom, and she helped me live navigate the situation to find parking like out of a movie

We found a residential street near the office with permit parking only, I decided to knock on doors until someone agreed to give me street parking permit. The first house I tried gave it to me .

I sprinted to the office, sweat through my suit, and arrived just a few mins late

Candidly, I didn’t do so great in the interview as the role was for mostly college upperclassmen

But at the end when the interviewer asked me how I even got in the building, I told them the story and that was what impressed them

That first internship delivering mail for talent agents helped me realize my passion for media, technology, and entertainment. I have been exploring that interest ever since
