Art, Music, Crypto | HUG 100 | Digital Exhibitions in NYC | Print Exhibition in Copenhagen
Thank you HUG for an excellent Open Studios. It was rejuvenating and fruitful for my craft—always leading to new ideas and new tools to expand and grow 🙌
My final project “On Heigh” is a tribute to the practice of meditation and to all of the people who regularly “get off of the grid” in order to tune out and tune inwards. Meditation has had a profound impact on my life and this concept piece dives into my experiences off of the grid 🧘🏽♀️ ❤️ 🌎
I hope you enjoy the video! And I hope everyone has a lovely week “on the grid” 🫶
Waves audio has AI mastering tools that are so helpful. I discovered them during the last Innovation + Inquiry lab.
Had a surprising synthesis during this latest HUG Open Studios. It was awesome to have a steady workflow without too much troubleshooting and accompanying stress 🙏🏽 🙌 ❤️
Day 9 Challenge - All In The Details
Adding cello recordings to the track was a small but atmospheric detail that added some depth today. I nearly overlooked adding the cello bits because I’m so focused on visuals, but tying the instrument into my artistic profile overall has been a huge goal of mine. Adding two bars of cello recordings seems to be that small step I’ve been looking to take for quite some time now.
Open Studios Day 8: Work in Progress 🙌
Little snippet. I’ve recorded the vocals for this instrumental with one last piece of vocal flare to add, and hashed out some of the visuals. AfterEffects and image-to-video animations tomorrow. I feel behind as far as the finish line is concerned, but I still want to celebrate what’s already been accomplished because I had a lot of fun with this instrumental 🎤
Good morning HUG Fam ✌️ Playing catch-up with HUGOpenStudios posts. Can’t wait for today’s session! I hope you are all having a great start to the week!
Day 6 & 7 Challenges - Setting the Scene and Routine Boost
The pup and I walk daily—at first, our walks were centered around her health in her older dog years, but the ritual has been very grounding for me as I set the stage for the day. Sometimes I notice I’m sluggish and other times energetic. It’s nice to get a baseline so I can anticipate my mood for the day.
My workspace is new as we just moved, but lighting and ambience is a must. Dark and moody for this photosensitive 🕶
HUG Open Studios - Day 5
Happy Saturday ✌️
Under the weather today so touching grass meant self care and extra sleep 😴 It’s always nice to reset and step away from a project and bring a fresh perspective to it later.
I’ve fallen in love with synth pop generations on Stable Audio this year. They take me to a time and place that I’ve never experienced but want to create. I tried Suno AI for the first time yesterday and I’m amazed at how clean the tracks are.
I prefer the crunchy, experimental sound produced with AudioSparx 1.1 on Stable Audio, and I finished the lyrics for this song today. I’ve never had an improv jam session with AI and this was my first go at it. AI is a rigid timekeeper so it was challenging to keep up while staying in tune. My vision is to record some cello audio and subtly edit those tracks in if it makes sense.
HUGOpenStudios - Day 3 Challenge 🤗
Meeting the Mentor:
Elnaz Mansouri: alongside her ever-inspiring art, she works really hard on the blockchain and isn’t afraid to be vulnerable and express when she’s in a slump. All of her effort and ups and downs have culminated into a thriving, engaged community and she now has a community token $ERROR that’s doing really well. It’s very inspiring. I’m very shy and she inspires me to put myself out there.
TechHalla: is a tech beast. He has mastered so many AI tools and has created guides and tutorials for others to quickly and easily model his work. It’s very AI-centered and a true dedication to the latest tech that’s rapidly being created. While I tend to rely on traditional digital tools to edit my AI art, TechHalla inspires me to collaborate more with AI and bring new concepts to the table.
Going broad here and listing music as a mentor. Because the prompt asked which artists we turn to when feeling lost, I’m putting music down because it has a mood-enhancing effect on my brain when I sing along or create solo. It always brings me back to center.
HUG Open Studios - Day 2
Inspiration & Mood: I’m feeling focused on our place in the cosmos and thinking about how “collaborating with AI” has given me extreme artistic independence like never before. My mood board below connects me to visuals that really inspire me 🤗
HUG Open Studios - Day 1
**My main objective over the next 10 days is to hone in on my artistic direction and lay the foundation for my artistic identity and brand (I feel a little all over the place)
