1/ Announcing the first donation of on-chain art from a collector to a museum, and the largest digital fine art collection to enter a museum 22 works from The Cozomo de' Medici Collection have been added to the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
2/ The gift includes works spanning from 2017 - 2022, from 13 international artists. Including generative, 1/1, book, video, AI, 3D, sculpture and photography.
3/ These works will now sit in one of the greatest art collections in human history, alongside physical works defining the last 6,000 years of artistic expression. Including works by Rembrandt, Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Cassatt, Andy Warhol, Monet, and Georgia O'Keeffe.
4/ My hope is that this donation helps forever cement the on-chain art movement in the canon of art history Paves the way for museums everywhere to hold the greatest digital works alongside the greatest physical And inspires us all to keep making history together ~CdM
