Why did we set out on this mission?
Current online comedy streaming platforms pay comedians about $0.01 per stream (Check out the shocking details in our Medium article below!). This extremely low pay could be enough to be the difference between emerging comedians staying in the comedy business, or getting out.
Not only are comedians getting screwed in compensation, when they ask for more their content gets taken down! Across current streaming platforms, individual comedians’ work is being taken down when they ask for a fair amount of compensation.
When a fan pays for a comedy streaming service, the lion’s share goes to the middleman. Comedians need a platform that empowers comedians to capture the lion’s share of their comedic value. This was the birth concept of Nifty Comedians.
Through comedians minting and selling their Stand-up Comedy Clips as Comedy NFTs and Comedy NFT collectors demonstrating their support and connection to these comedians, we serve as a platform where that comedic value can finally be properly captured.
Let’s empower comedians to take back the value of the comedy the create, letting traditional comedy streaming platform middlemen know that the joke is on them.

Background: Originally from New Jersey, Anthony DeVito is a NYC based comedian. He's appeared on CBS The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central Stand Up Presents: Anthony DeVito, Comedy Central's Adam Devine's House Party, was one of the “New Faces” at the 2012 Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, has been on "This American Life," AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, and was the 2015 winner of Caroline's March Madness. Also, his debut album "Dream Occupation" is available from Comedy Central Records. In addition to stand-up, he was a writer on Netflix's The Break with Michelle Wolf, wrote for the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner, and was a writer/regular panelist on MSG's People Talking Sports and Other Stuff. He's also has appeared on TV Land's The Jim Gaffigan Show, and is a favorite on Sirius XM's Bennington.

Commentary from Khalid: I was dating a younger woman, who never had picture day in her school. She was definitely a snooper. Claimed that an earring fell and rolled under the bed when she “happened upon” a box that was behind something else. She was sooo confused and a little weirded out, but I was able to explain and we had a good laugh about it later. Seems like a generational thing since some schools don’t do it anymore. The advent of smart phones with great cameras means that ppl already have so many professional quality pictures of their kids.

Espi Rivadeneira is a stand up comedian from upstate New York. She has performed all over Texas, Los Angeles, New Jersey, Maine, and is currently based in New York City. She is passed at The Grisly Pear and hosts a weekly show, “Monday Night Comedy” every Monday 10pm at The Comedy Shop (formerly Lantern Comedy). Espi loves to perform daily and has a quirky, dark sense of humor. She has opened for Jake Johannsen, featured for Jose Sarduy and recently performed at the first annual Tiny Cupboard festival (August 2021) in Brooklyn NY.
And as a bit of alpha, we were down by The Comedy Cellar in NYC a couple weeks ago and multiple pro comedians said to us in person that the incredibly talented Espi will be THE emerging comedian to watch over the next few years.
