Why is $BTC 100,000 USD so important?

When Bitcoin crosses that threshold it will confer legitimacy onto the entirety of the space. All blockchain will instantly become “real”.

I’ve told my wife, and I’m sure I’ve posted it here. When Bitcoin launched on the NYSE this past year, we were no longer early. This is the “on time” phase of crypto. I don’t know how long it will last until people are suddenly late.

As a guy who’s been in crypto long enough to remember fringe internet corners, this is almost euphoric. For me. For us. But not for the rest of the world who continues to believe it is for scams, crimes & tax evasion.

We have a single job over the course of the next few years as the utility and importance of digital monies and digital assets set in to highlight the censorship resistance & sovereignty of digital assets over the casinos that will be spawned from this bull market. We have to ensure crypto keeps its values even if we expand into larger markets.

It won’t be easy. Just don’t forget why we are here, otherwise we will create the very things early crypto enthusiasts sought to escape.
