Unlike the well-established centralised NFT marketplace that is commonly used on ethereum, on the Bitcoin mainnet, everything seems primitive and 'open'. There is no NFT trading marketplace, it's all OTC; there are no Mint pages, and the offering model is mostly "play money to creator -> creator uploads NFT -> manually distribute NFT to purchasers"; Ordinals hasn't even had time to come up with a lightweight wallet app, and to upload or transfer NFT to other addresses, you have to install the Bitcoin Core wallet and use the command line to access Ordinals' full functionality.
The Ordinals protocol has enabled the possibility of NFTs on the Bitcoin mainnet, and because of its nature of storing data entirely on-chain, it has caused an expansion of block sizes, which has led to controversial discussions in the Bitcoin community. How do you feel about non-financial applications on Bitcoin and what is Bitcoin Core's response to this? How will Bitcoin NFT evolve in the future?
