just took a stroll through @fuckurjpeg and reposted my favourites from the last two weeks. was fun/funny getting put on the spot to explain the meaning of the club to a room full of people the other night at the @lens night out in tokyo 😝
there was one time in particular i was out to dinner with a friend who was making fun of NFTs. i tried explaining how beneficial it had been for me but i could tell he still wouldn’t take it seriously. (we’re talking about a very successful director of marketing here who had worked with various high level ad agencies, a smart guy) he goes to the restroom and i get a text from him while he’s gone - a screenshot of a punk. says “this is worth 1 million dollars, now you have it too” as i shake my head and think all that is in his brain is “fuck your jpeg” that was a major source of inspiration for taking the sentiment and owning it (:
