the timeline has been saturated with tech talk about devs and building and hacking for about three years but we still don’t have the basics down for making Lens something truly unique and different from traditional social platforms that already have a huge user base. many artists including myself have repeatedly expressed that we need galleries and storefronts or a marketplace that can showcase our work and collections in a single click, making it easily accessible for viewers. sure, our content is on our profile, but nobody is scrolling for hours to try to get an understanding of what it is we make, and we don’t/can’t expect them to. in a way this also discourages creators from using Lens as a social platform if it means we’re going to dilute our timeline and obscure our work with regular text posts.

there still seems to be a major disconnect between the devs and artists on this protocol, but the ones that are still here are hopeful that we can resolve this and eventually have the tools and functions that we actually need. 🙏
