I'm an animator, illustrator, and fashion designer behind Zim & Teemo.
New Frontiers in ethical, hand made design.
I'm putting my fashion design and story telling background to good use by releasing a very limited quantity of apparel and accessories made entirely by me.
Materials I'm currently obsessed with using: Selvedge denim, used bicycle tires, vintage tapestries, naturally dyed indigo and black walnut.
All pieces here were made by me in limited runs.
More to come!

I made some real life things:
The Road Coat- made for the road life, age, wear, tears along the way are meant to add to the design. Made from a textured charcoal black leather.
Women Who Kill Oversize T-Shirt- You might see two girls doing housework, I see two girls who just killed a man and now they're cleaning up the evidence. I screen printed and coffee dyed the material before it was sewn.
Up-cycled bicycle tire bag (yet to be named) It's made from authentic, worn down bicycle tires that are generally thrown in the garbage.
Let me know your thoughts, impressions!
I plan on designing a mini capsule collection and a couple of these pieces are samples I'll be reworking for sale.

Little discoveries can change everything.
It only gets boring if you stop paying attention, I challenge myself to make little discoveries in ordinary day to day life.
I was the kid who'd look under rocks to see what kind of bugs live under it. Then, I'd try to break open the rock to see what was inside. I'd usually picture dinosaur fossils, but the most I'd find was small fossilized shells.
Here's another clip from Little Creep, a film about discovery, anxiety, and eating stuff that isn't really food.
At some point @zimteemo.lens will have to drop it. It also has a wicked soundtrack by @zombieshepherd.lens who is coincidentally dropping new music every Monday for the next 8 weeks, so check that out.
An extended vacation turns into something else and other happenings.
I've been away from lens longer than expected but I'm back!
I hope life has treated you well, I'm definitely in a growth phase which is uncomfortable but lively none the less.
Lately, I've been feeling like I don't have the same level of creativity I've had in the past, but then I remind myself that I have so much to pull from when I'm in this state of creation. I have a good process of writing/sketching/documenting ideas and have a collection of unfinished stories/art/ideas that I can look at and get re-inspired from. I don't always have to be generating brand new ideas, I can apply a fresh lens on older ideas.
Maybe this is a time to finish something rather than starting fresh.
Does anyone else feel this?
I've included a clip from an animated film called Little Creep. It was made for a 72hr film festival and it's hard to believe we @zimteemo.lens made a 6min animation that fast.
Maybe the lesson is you can't think too much, just do.
Good Evening everyone!
Here are a few photos of an outfit I designed and made a couple weeks ago.
The upcycled jacket is made from vintage tapestries, a vintage shearling coat and extra wide corduroy. The design is inspired the basement in my childhood home with it's wood paneled walls and tapestry wall hangings. I'm always cold so I made it oversized and fully insulated. It feels more like a blanket than a coat and that's a bonus for me.
I also made the pants from a hemp/cotton twill.
The handbag is made from upcycled bicycle tires and paracord. This might be one of my favorite designs that I've made in a while.
More details later!

Skipping in place, portrait of a lady with fish hat. Fishbowl conversations while waiting for a cab in the background.
How is your week so far?
My wacom cintiq 13" suddenly stopped working on my Mac and this animation perfectly captures how I'm feeling right now.
I'm not fit for civil society without it.
Hopefully I don't have to buy a new one, wish me (and everyone who has to deal with me) luck
Lost & Found: September 11, 2019. A tough guy with a soft side
A quick animation exercise to warm up. I'm getting back into the swing of making quick warm up animations. I like to work fast and intuitive, not exactly what you think of when you think animation but sometimes you need to challenge the norms.
I'm not a trained animator, I taught myself so I don't feel particularly bound to the rules.
Deviants, outsiders, weirdos, they're my tribe.
