It's a Type 1 (Ethereum-equivalent) ZK-EVM.

Another Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, like zkSync and Starknet

• Founded by the former CEO of Loopring

• They claim they are "well funded". List not public yet

TOKEN CONFIRMED: Their token will be called $TKO

• Although the fees are paid in ETH, block proposers get revenue for burning $TKO and paying ETH to Ethereum L1 Validators

• Mechanim: TKO will be minted to reward proof verification by block provers

3 days ago, Taiko announced their Alpha-1 Testnet, called "Snæfellsjökull". Deploying on mainnet in 2023!

We can interact with Alpha Testnet right now.

💡 Alpha: you'll be able to claim a POAP (in February 2023) for completing a minimum of 2/3 tasks before Jan 31st, 23:59 UTC.
