MSTRBSTRD is a dynamic multi-hyphenate creating music and visuals influenced by a variety of sources, resulting in an experience that is equal parts familiar and ethereal. A truly distinctive presence in the Lens ecosystem.
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
MSTRBSTRD (pronounced "Master Bastard") is the artistic pseudonym of Shae Hawse, a versatile artist from Victoria, BC, Canada, and a member of the Further Beyond collective. Originally known for emotive acoustic music, MSTRBSTRD now explores experimental sounds by blending indie-electronic, hip-hop, and art-pop.
Drawing inspiration from Aphex Twin, Bon Iver, Tyler, the Creator, and David Bowie, Hawse creates a distinctive, genre-defying sonic experience, viewing music as a form of exploration.
What type of content do you create? How do you come up with ideas for your content?
Music and visual art, inspired by and leveraging pop culture and technology.
What's been your experience with Bonsai?
Bonsai has supported me and my work from the very beginning. Culture and art are symbiotic, so naturally I gravitated toward the culture coin of lens. My largest sales and greatest reach have come from bonsai and it鈥檚 not a coincidence.

Who are some of your favorite Lens creators / communities? My favourite lensters would have to be @jamesfinnerty, @chloee, @christina, and @willcreatesart.
That being said there are so many great creators that are a part of lens, those are just the first few that come to mind.
