Hard to tell since the big model isn't out yet. Kind of unimpressive news, considering Ultra is an unreleased model with marginally better benchmarks than GPT-4V, and they're probably going to be nerf it with RLHF. OpenAI will definitely maintain its lead going into next year--too much of a head start.
The demo with the video modality / real time interaction was cool though.
