day 2 #learnartblocks watched @Zeneca on www.inpeak.xyz/event/mastering-art-block-nfts It was titled "mastering" artblocks, but it felt like another intro honestly.
1/ “buy what you like that you can reasonably afford” , which is something true for collecting art.
2/ Wen to mint VS wen to buy secondary. Test out the outputs of the collection, if you like all of them, you can try minting. If you only like a few of them in that collection, you should go to secondary marketplaces.
3/ How to avoid FOMO?
Think of a budget beforehand, put that ETH aside, and if it exceeds that budget, then its a no go.
4/ Some links shared
Artacle: artacle.io to explore collections and stats
Archipelago: archipelago.art to explore artblocks
Ok thats all for today, thanks for reading. Don't forget to follow. Will share more as I learn. #LMCC

1/ The minter is part of the artwork, your transaction string is input into the artist code to generate the art work.
2/ A good collection is "same same but different". You can see and tell that they are part of the same collection. At the same time, each piece is unique. And every single piece looks good, and every collector is happy.
3/ Collections are categorised into Curated VS Playground VS Factory
Erm, but I think now I only see Curated, Presents and Explorations. So something changed. Will investigate tomorrow.
Basically, Curated is curated by a group of professionals that most reflect artblocks.
4/ Likely will be burnt if you collecting it to flip in a few months. Have to look out for collections that interests you, that you have no qualms if it goes to zero.
Most importantly, it should be able to sustain interest for a long time. In chinese we have 耐看
