Is a music video NFT collection:
Is 1024 1/1 PFPs: check
Is my 8 song solo debut: check
Is composed on Elektron Monomachine: oh yas check
Is 128 variations per song, hand assembled a brain destroying 1024 times in Premiere ft. a custom band of me performing aforementioned variations on drumkit, rhodes, bass and every other instrument that gets neglected in my studio. Also yes, the giant modular: check ya head
IS OUT THIS FALL, MINTPASS ANNOUCEMENT SOON. CHECK.
Dig into some Elektron Monomachine DnB from yesterday's recording livestream. I'm always trying to showcase as much of the process onstream as possible ... I think this element was pretty mission critical to the success of AmbieNFT. Proud to report this piece is playful 181 bpm burner is finally starting to come together!
Can't wait to layer live instruments on top and feed all these stems into the algo to start hearing some of the 128 unique combinations per song as my little Monomachine babies become a full grown 1024 edition music nft release.

Come hang with me tomorrow (Friday June 30th) at 4PM EST on Twitch for a Monomachine recording session and catchup on my upcoming music video NFT collection, MONOMACHINATIONS.
I'll be spending a ton of time onstream over the next month as the songs grow from Monomachine arrangements to live band orchestrations. Tomorrow will be all monomachine but stay tuned for live drums, bass, rhodes, piano and more.

MY GOD WHAT HAVE I SIGNED UP FOR.
Mixing 1024 music tracks in Premiere? Seems reasonable.
Monomachinations is my next music NFT/video release. It's also my first edition'ed NFT after AMBIENFT and after a year of writing, art-generating and development ... I'm finally in the grind of recording and implementing live video performances of myself over some extremely IDM'y Monomachine core tracks. After 10k+ prompts and days color correcting the PFPs, saying I'm excited to get back to the recording part is a gross understatement.
Eight songs, 128 stem combinations per song, hours of analog-instrument-Ambie-as-robot's-band footage. Each hand assembled mixed and rendered. An effective 1024 1/1s. Yep. There's a reason people automate this shit.
The sad truth is besides having rock solid "hand automated" logic dictating which stems come in and out (IE If your edition of a song has me playing pads on the Prophet in the background, we want to mute the chords in the underlying Monomachine track et al) ... there isn't a faster way to do this process than composing the songs with the replacement logic in mind, not unlike composing for a video game. Search as I might for a way to automate "mixing" chroma'd video en masse, the uniqueness of each PFP really demanded a human touch on every composited video of my little band of Ambi3s rocking out behind the Monomachine cyborgs. There was never any other way this was gonna end. 😂
The madness/genius of this workflow is once I have the stems composed and "aware" of each other in ableton, tethering said stems to the live video take of each performance is actually a huge timesaver. In said fashion, I'm making it one step to enable/disable video and audio ... and honestly the audio routing and mixing capability of Premiere has exceeded expectations. Now I just have to hope the logic holds up and the process of recording and integrating the stems 1024 times goes ... you know ... smoothly. What could go wrong?🤞
I'll be livestreaming a good bit of the analog green screen recording process on my Twitch: www.twitch.tv/ambi3doteth
... and posting notifications about the streams and a good bit more WIP on my discord: discord.gg/f7MD352Kjz
... but I'm going to make an effort to post as much WIP footage here as well! Hope some of the web3 synth community will follow along with this undertaking! = )
Please enjoy this clip from the work in progress AmbieNFT #067 livestream! I record hours and hours of each generative patch like this live on Twitch (shameless plug: twitch.tv/ambi3doteth ... soon to be .lens native on Hypeshot!) and meticulously cut the best sections together to form coherant, impactful pieces. The modular patch itself is governed by a hexadecimal hash which becomes the catchy title ... this one has the earworm "AF0C0446E7CECD60". Stairway To Heaven, psshhh.
Between the longform foghorns and tension building LFO swept washes, this piece marks the collection's return to Hecker'ish "ambient" and now resides with one of the first people in the web3 space to -get- what I'm going for in wrangling these generative modular pieces into something impactful. Thank you sincerely (again) my dude @trollboxed!
Dual Hypno livesteam visuals getting off the chain here, projecting green patterns from hypno one and letting OBS chroma out the evolving green pattern for the second Hypno is the dumbest and most analog trick and I still love it. Visuals in #067 had some responsive elements to patchwide Maths envelope shenanigans so they are especially responsive. Never enough Maths.

As I finish mastering ANFT #067 a mind-blowing one and a half years since I began the project, I'm excited to implement some important tweaks born of the lessons learned during this 18 month commitment: In an effort to increase long term value for the early supporters of project and put ANFT on an accomplishable timeline, I am going to reduce the final count of the project from 256 to 128.
The benefits will be twofold:
1. By reducing the supply to 128 I can confidently establish holding these as membership in a 1 for 1 free mint of every major edition'ed drop I do going forward in web3, including the mammoth eight song composite video album Monomachinations that I will be dropping this year (with live onstream recording starting next week). I am confident this will only build in value as future drops and redemptions accumulate and foster a sense of community and appreciation for my OG ANFT holders.
2. When I started AmbieNFT I anticipated capturing a quick snapshot of a generative patch and minting it more or less live. The reality is that I put well over thirty hours into each of these pieces from recording to (copious) comp'ing to mixing, mastering and video synthesizing ... pretty far from the intended off the cuff two day process. The development of the sync licensing pool (with placement pitches as recent as PAX last weekend) only serves to put more pressure on having the best possible compositions+mixing to pitch while staying true to the generative ethos of their creation. This puts the total remaining supply at an accomplishable 1830 more hours and say that without a drop of irony and 2000+ hours behind me.
Reduced supply. Greater long term value. A win for all and it might even be done in less than another year and a half. The best part: 060-067 are some of the best work I've done in my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.

...and this I where we sneak in the alpha for you that none other than web3 pioneer queen @fifirong will be the guest collaborator lending her voice to the generative madness on AmbieNFT #070 ... with our first proper auction in months to follow! We've been trying to collaborate for months and I'm extremely excited to cut the modular loose on her vocals.
The future is on rails. See you there.
Once the human enters the picture, is music truly generative anymore?
My inclination is that generative roots -> generative tree no matter who is pruning it.
AmbieNFT #066 started as the gnarliest (grammatically appropriate use of gnarly, five points House Ambi3) and despite my normal inclination to pad and drone the edges off something like this ... this time I just let the hexadecimal hash governing the modular patch do it's thing in it's most natural form, even if that form evokes memories of the protagonist putting a drill to his head to get the mania out in the climax of Aronofsky's Pi. I digress.
Please enjoy a snippet of this piece and if you want to stay tuned for the wall of sound noise left turn ending, dive into the NFT (listed to metaverse music promotion OG GODDESS Shelleyvan) on OpenSea here: opensea.io/assets/ethereum/0x495f947276749ce646f68ac8c248420045cb7b5e/100207734995273177975544027187136290572129187829540288968629664457580571787265
AmbieNFT #066 is a pleasantly abstract return to the project's wildly generative roots and a much needed break from writing my upcoming compositional video LP NFT, Monomachinations. I originally posted this snippet on beatsapp.xyz, but since the audio didn't make it I figured I'd whip up a quick video accompaniment to it's surface-of-the-moon strangeness. Generative modular synth is kinda my thing.
Here's a grandiose minute and a half from yesterday's generative recording session for AmbieNFT #067 (all ANFTs are fully generative and created via algo-decoded 16 digit hexadecimal hash ... you know, totally normal music writing stuff.) I definitely did not realize when I started eighteen months ago just how much satisfaction I would derive from culling these little moments out of hour(s) long takes of generative ambient, nor how much music theory I would gain in the process. As I come back into compositional work for my debut solo video album Monomachinations, I am finding myself a more patient and practiced composer.
Still unafraid to take the Moog bass to 11 tho. See below.

A year and a half and sixty-five generative ambient/robot raves later, it's hard not to feel grateful for a 1.8 eth floor, several 2+ eth secondary sales and 23 eth volume while simultaneously feeling like your latest work (#065 welcome @doubleosoulnft!) is your best work yet.
