After the shooting at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, former United States President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform that he had been shot in the upper part of his right ear and felt like a bullet had passed through his skin. But it is not known what happened to the gunman. Pennsylvania police previously said Trump was not hit by a bullet, but by a shard of glass. The fragments allegedly came from a teleprompter that had been hit by a bullet.
Local prosecutors said the gunman fired as many as eight rounds from an AR-style rifle from a building next to the rally, about 180 to 275 meters (200 to 300 yards) from Mr. Trump.
