Let's start from the beginning, what on earth is quadratic funding?
Quadratic funding (QF) is new type of crowdfunding that uses enables small donors to have a big impact...
- A matching pool is created
- Donors donate to projects
- A quadratic formula is used 2 match funds: in this formula, smaller contributions get more weight
For example, if a project receives 200 donations of $10 each, this project would earn more matching funds than a similar project that receives 20 donations of $100 each. This makes match funding more fair - based on how many people care about an issue, and how much they donate.
So now you understand quadratic funding. Remember @gitcoin.lens? They are one of the OG QF pioneers. OGQFPs if you prefer.
#Gitcoin has been running major #crypto #quadraticfunding rounds for years, funding some of the most famous protocols in the ecosystem back when they were just small baby #opensource projects (see @optimismdao.lens as a great example)! Today, Gitcoin has helped deliver over $50,000,000 in grant funds.
Yesterday Gitcoin opened the #GG18 #quadraticfunding round - with over 300,000 in DAI earmarked for opensource software.

Hirers can create an organization and allow multiple people on your team to manage relationships with influencers thanks to #safe SDK. Essential for big businesses to hire influencers!
Hirers can post sponsored content opportunities for influencers to browse and apply for. Hirers can check out influencers' social profiles and see what sponsored gigs they've completed in the past.
Influencers submit proposals for sponsorship gigs. Next, hirers can approve and reserve money in escrow! Then, influencers can post to Lens right in the proposal administration page.
BTW: Remember when #KimKardashian got sued by the SEC for not disclosing a sponsored post? Many people don't know it's a law that you must to disclose when ppl pay you to post! Luckily, now, when hiring posts AND social posts are public on-chain, disclosure is automatic!
All in all, super proud of what the team built - InfluLENSer really shows the power of composability through leveraging @LensProtocol's social stack and @TalentLayer's work stack to build something that couldn't have existed in web-2.
