Every time I see people discussing that the college entrance examination is fair and that one should work hard to transition to a different class, I want to say this.
Many of the superficial absurdities in the world have a similar underlying logic to the crowds trying to climb Mount Everest: even though you know it is irrational to risk your life to climb the mountain, even though climbers die, get injured or suffer from various diseases every year. There are countless others. Although it is neither advancing nor retreating near the top, and it is extremely painful for several hours, but because there is some kind of strong virtual consensus, successfully reaching the summit is a very unique and powerful sign of showing off one's identity. A way to affirm self-worth, so many people can risk their lives to continuously fight for this virtual consensus.
