Huge no! For me, hiding likes is the part of the Instagram/Facebook snowflake corporate culture. There's nothing wrong with likes. It can be very beneficial for smaller users if they create an exceptionally popular post, and people see it and say "wow, this has a lot of likes, it must be an interesting post, I'll check out this guy".
