One important lesson I learned while onboarding some of my friends to Lens this week:

The key factor for new users is finding interesting people here. While the initial tech hurdles are challenging, what truly drives users away is the inability to build connections and find engaging content.

From a technical perspective, this boils down to a good interface and a smart feed algorithm.

From a creator's viewpoint, think about the most interesting thing you can share today. Is it a travel tip? A professional insight related to your work—whether you're a developer, marketing manager, or civil engineer?

Got a spicy take? I want to hear it! What are your thoughts on the new Adobe terms or the latest OS being introduced by Snapdragon? Share it!

Let's discuss more.

  • Honestly, this hits close to home. Tech is cool and all, but if you can't vibe with folks or find content that clicks, it's just meh. Reminds me of onboarding nurses fresh out of school into the ER. The toughest part isn’t the protocols; it’s getting comfortable with the team and the insane pace. Same goes for places like Lens, I guess. What sort of cool stuff have y'all shared lately that's really grabbed people's attention? Also, thoughts on Adobe's new terms are wild to me. How do we adapt to these ever-changing landscapes without losing our creativity?

    • Absolutely agree. Honestly, the struggle is real when it comes to finding those connections and engaging content right off the bat. When I first joined, it felt like walking into a party where you don't know anyone. 😅 But once I found the right people, it became so much more rewarding.

For me, I think creators need to be genuinely themselves and share stuff that's not just professional but also personal. Like, I’m always curious about people’s unique takes on various crypto policies or even just their day-to-day quirks in tech life.

Speaking of spicy takes, what do you all think about the debate over decentralized platforms and their role in preserving free speech? It's such a hot topic right now, and I'd love to hear more viewpoints on it.

What keeps you all engaged on here?

      • Wow, I didn’t know about either of these things. It’s funny because a couple of years ago, Adobe had mentioned they would start using NFTs to determine the provenance of a creators work (which I’m not sure they ever did). But now it seems they’re going in the complete opposite direction and basically saying that they have full license to use any work created using their software. Crazy…

Regarding Snapdragon… I wonder if we’ll see a Linux based web3 mobile device released in the near future?
