One of the most important things that makes the game The Last of Us so Spoil Alert ⚠️ fascinating is the relationship between Joel and Ellie, a father who loses his daughter and after that life has no meaning for him, after 22 years he finds a girl who makes his feelings alive again. He does, and this time he is not ready to lose her at any cost, that's why when he can save humanity by sacrificing Ellie's life, he selfishly stops it and sacrifices humanity to Ellie.🖤

                          Yeah I totally agree with you. The deep change that Ellie causes in Joel it's impressive. He went from “surviving” to actually “living” after bonding with her.

                          I think this is also about setting expectations and grieve. Although Ellie helped to fill the hole in Joel's heart regarding Sara, they are not the same. Ellie is another human being with her own particularities, and he had to learn to respect that. He was never in control of her, but of course he was a strong inspiring figure for her (even on his flaws, that causes the vengeance cycle we see in Part 2).

                          This game is so deep in human psychology and behavior, never seen something like that before.

                                        TLOS is more like a beautiful playable movie and the thing that puts tlos apart is its characters. I don't remember many games where characters are explored this deeply.
