I think it goes without saying but if you ever see an account with a thumb sharing right wing content, it’s not me.
Playing with mmm page as an alternative to bento. Pretty happy with the initial results

❝ that’s so awesome! ❞
— me when I saw these quote glyphs.
Then like every time I encounter a new glyph I know I want to use myself, I added it to my text replacement on iOS
New issue of Thumbs’ Update is out now on Mirror ✍️
In this issue I’ll be bragging about what I did on vacation, and why some might have called it “piracy.” 🏴☠️
I’ll cover some of the history of video game emulation, the recent attack on the Internet Archive, and make the ethical case against copyright (at least in its current form).
Enjoy! 💚

I’m gonna try to finish my next piece this week. I wanted to wait for the election to pass to resist the urge to write about it.
The topics I’m covering in general are bigger than Democrat or Republican parties or even the US. The whole point of crypto, the internet, and open-source is to undermine these broken old institutions to bring together global coordination systems where a vote between two choices can’t upend global power structures.
My next piece will cover undermining property rights to preserve media. It is an extension of my piece “Peer-to-Peer Review” which you can read below. I truly believe that capitalism is the beast that needs to be slain first before liberalism can evolve into—or be replaced by—something more democratic and free.

Alright I think I’ve got everything in order, so this is it friends. I’m going to pop on once a week or so but I won’t be actively engaging with much over the next month and then only sporadically over the month that follows.
To my fans and patrons: you are the best 💚💚💚
To everyone else: see ya when I see ya ✌️

New issue of the newsletter is here 📬
In this one I’m tracing my personal internet obsession from Y2K to yesterday.
I’m talking about the good and the bad of being online and how sometimes we need to know when to log off.
