My smart speaker has a cool feature that if it recognizes my voice it defaults back to explicit versions of songs. I forgot about this, and when I helped my frustrated son because the speaker couldn’t understand his request we got ALL the words. Goodbye explicit music…
One thing they don’t tell you when you become a parent is that kids fingernails hide themselves in everything.
Every week I cut their nails, count them, collect them and throw them out, but inevitably there’s ONE little one hiding in my throw blanket that will stab me. 😫
My neurodiverse son is doing this thing where he sings this song that counts to one hundred 💯 every night in the bath. 🛁 I used to find it such a timesuck, but have noticed how much it does to wind him down. 🧘♂️ Love that he’s taught me that and discovered that for himself.
What should we treat him to if any of you collect this?👇 (He doesn’t like sweet things, instead loves grilled cheese sandswiches🥪)

Moms that don’t expect to get covered in paint or their kids covered in paint while doing art with their kids baffle me. What did you think was going to happen? It’s all washable anyway, who cares?
The way people prey on parents of neurodiverse kids is ravenous. Everyone claims to have “cures” or “perfect solutions.” Knowing how incredibly hopeless and lonely parenting a kid in the spectrum can be. We just need to see and hold space each other.
Months ago this interaction wouldn’t be possible: Son: Mamá are you hungry? I’m hungry! Me: what do you want to eat? Son: I want to eat grilled cheese 🥹🥰🫂 Raising neurodiverse kids is HARD, keeping up with therapies, everything takes twice as long. But so so worth it!
