Non-tech possible fix for MetaMask error "Failed transaction Transaction NaN failed! InternalJSON-RPC error":

if the extension is already latest, network is added properly and there's nothing to do with insufficient gas and maybe you're using custom nonce,
try go to the corresponding chain explorer > click on latest transaction > "click to show more" and find the number of nonce,
put the next nonce number in your transaction and try again.
