051 - The Russian Jimmy Hendrix Ink and beer

This post lenster.xyz/posts/0xd3a4-0xcb tells a bit about my 2016. During that summer, I decided to travel and the first stop was Berlin. I stayed at C.'s place in the hearth of Kreuzberg... what a beautiful days: amazing weather, lovely flat, central location, and Berlin in summer.

Then, I headed Finland, where the goal was to visit E., whom I had met in 2012 in Verona, Italy. Before going to E.'s house, I found out that I could visit Russia without any visa thanks to my Argentinian passport. Curiously, E. lives 30 kms. from the Russian border, but she has never been there.

After 5 controls on the train and many funny stories with the Russian border police, I arrived to St. Petersburg, where I stayed for some days. One of those nights, I was wondering around and I stumbled upon the Jimmy Hendrix bar.

The place was hidden in an underground cellar with almost no signage, I found it thanks to the music. Even better, it was full of Russians and empty of tourists. I did the drawing while enjoying a beer and the live presentation of the amazing Don Hikaram & the Atomic Jam Band.
