I think people are not seeing the world as it is, but rather as it was. The US economy is pre-crisis. Almost perpetual crisis. And it’s because the youth cannot establish themselves as their parents did.
The latter is true for most of the EU countries as well. This is a global phenomenon. Maybe the infinite prosperity of the west is about to come to an end.
