While you search for the next $MATIC or $SOL, Ethereum's layer 2s itself has a volume that is much bigger than these 2 combined.
Let's look at zkSync, a leading Zk-based layer 2, they are yet to launch their token $ZKS.

When I say the TVL on layer 2s is much bigger, I really mean it.
For Eg: The current TVL of Solana is just 10% compared to the TVL on ethereum layer 2s combined.
And with the advances in Zk-Tech, the gap in volume will be increasing much more.
The main reason for the migration of users from ethereum to other blockchains was the exorbitant gas fees back then.
Well, layer 2s are addressing it, and the fees are as low as they can be on any other blockchain.
🕹️ For those who don't know about zkSync
It's a ZK rollup on Ethereum
ZK Rollup is a type of Layer 2 scaling solution for blockchain networks, specifically Ethereum. It allows for off-chain transactions to be bundled and verified on-chain with the use of zero-knowledge proofs.
🗞️ I had previously made multiple threads on zkSync, but since then they have made a lot of advances and there are multiple updates.
📰 Here are some of the latest
• The zkSync 1.0 mainnet is fully live
• zkSync 2.0 is currently in the testing phase
• "Fair Onboarding Alpha" is expected soon, during which multiple projects will be deployed on zkSync 2.0
• Proposal was passed for deploying Uniswap v3 on it
🐤 Even at its early stage, they have managed to gain a TVL of $65 million and managed to stay at the top 7 positions when it comes to layer 2 volume.
🎫 Some info about the token $ZKS:
• They have confirmed that they will launch the token.
• The tokenomics is yet to be released
• Rumours about 2/3rd of the supply to the community and ecosystem.
• With A16Z invested, a token airdrop is almost sure.
👾There might be 4 scenarios when it comes to airdrop:
• The snapshot is already taken.
• The snapshot is yet to be taken.
• Trying now could act as a multiplier.
• No Airdrop (Yup!)
Anyways, I expect the airdrop/token distribution to be done at this point (check the img)
