Tipping.
What do you think about this? We're seeing a lot of great content coming from clubs, and we believe their treasuries should benefit. Would you be open to having 10% of tips on club posts go to the club treasury?
?
Will vote for having a toogle option when posting on a club that lets creator decide if they want to share the tip on posts.
Would avoid forcing as tips are usually author not content based and forcing to share a tip with club seems just weird.
Interesting. I think tips should be wholly to the recipient. I have also chosen to shift the /monochrome club in that same direction this evening, so that creators now retain 100% of their earnings on any new minted works within. I will fund the club from my own sales, earnings and tips. If it were a gated/membership (private) club, then I would include a cost of membership and treasury percentage. Even in that situation, I would leave tips 100% to recipient -- they earned it through more than a single post/image in the club -- often as the result of a collection of posts, imagery, messages, persona, etc. 😍
Tips on my personal opinion should go 100% to creators. That’s the same approach I have for posts on @enespanol, where creators keep 100% of their sale.
not my intention to make royalties off people’s content or distribute it an dilute that % to a club with a high amount of members.
I, for one, have declined to take a treasury percentage on sales and probably would lean the same for tips - I personally pledge to collect with / use 10% of my own earnings so I don't want to subject anyone else to that just for posting/earning in /fuckurjpeg
First intuition is to let the clubs decide but actually its easier to make it simple. Default 10% for all clubs.
