It looks like they are mostly unhappy with the last airdrops ... zk, zro, eigen…
Idea is to stop airdrops completely or use a method that rewards the real users and not farmers and bots

imho @zksync did a great airdrop rewarding “real” users.
I can’t remember a single airdrop that did a better job in giving a huge amount of governance responsibility to “normal” user patterns.
Sure “real users” who started using zksync this year might not be super happy but buying meme coins after a 69420x might not deliver a 100x neither.
absolutely, and totally based on real use of the applications/chains/protocols, i got zero allocations hence used all of them not as farmer but actually building stuff, still be using them but is crazy that also fellow devs did not get allocations and farm bots got a lot
I think, that with social graphs like lens, it's way more clear who are real users and who are not.
Real users will have more interactions with other real users, as bot content is often not appealing to humans.
Sure, there still will he industry-like operations who use real humans as workforce, but in the grand scheme of things these are neglectable, considering the effort
The small minority is unhappy, however there are big discrepancies to who is getting what airdrops, should random NFTs be rewarded big chunks of airdrops simply because they hold a NFT? Which often adds zero value to the protocol/project that is airdropping them.
Imo it's a spectrum of how much deterrence you'd want vs how open in airdropping. Increasing the barrier to claim is an easy way to combat sybils (require kyc > phone number verification >twitter> email > eoa signature) but adds a lot of friction deterring users. There is no silver bullet innit
I thought ZK was really well executed. Not sure what they even could have done better to be honest.
What didn’t you like about it?
And if not this form of airdrop, what replaces it that can effectively eliminate bots?
