This also happened to me. Someone private messaged me on Twitter (X) and offered me a job. They let me choose a position like moderator, community manager, developer, etc. They said they were working on a game project. I initially believed them since I chose the moderator role, which I had experience with. After a few hours, I got accepted right away after answering their questions, such as providing some of my details, work experience, and why I wanted to be a moderator. After that, they asked me to join their Discord server.
Once I joined, they asked for more of my details, including my crypto wallet address because that's where they said they would send my salary. After I sent the final details, they told me to wait for 4 hours because they needed to discuss it with their team. Then, they told me to install a game while waiting and ask me to play game, because as a moderator, I needed to learn the game by playing it. So, I downloaded the game from their website and installed it. After installation, I tried logging in, but I couldn't. I messaged them that the game wouldn鈥檛 run after installation.
AND HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED! After an hour, I was shocked to find that I was suddenly kicked from their Discord server. I tried to message them on twitter, but they also disappeared!
SO THE FINAL OUTCOME IS...
I'm sure the reason why they kicked or banned me from their Discord and stopped responding to me is because......
The CRYPTO WALLET ADDRESS they asked for as part of the final details was one that was empty and not something I used often, hahaha!
Well, just sharing my experience. So, I just want to remind everyone reading this to be careful and not easily believe those offers nowadays. It鈥檚 even better if you do a background check to see if the company is legit!
Thanks for reading! 馃ぃ
