The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
in Abu Dhabi is one of the largest and most impressive religious structures in the world. Opened in 2007, the mosque is dedicated to the first president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who also initiated its construction.

The mosque can accommodate over 40,000 worshippers and visitors, and is renowned for its white marble façade, expansive courtyards, and spectacular minarets. The interior of the mosque features one of the largest chandeliers in the world, as well as the largest hand-knotted carpet made in Iran. Combining elements of Islamic, Moorish, and modern architecture, the mosque symbolizes religious tolerance and cultural dialogue.
