Once upon a spooky Halloween night in 2018, in a little town called Groningen, I met the cleverest cat in the world. His name was Bart. With fur as dark as midnight and eyes that gleamed like little green moons, Bart was the king of "trick or treat." But with him, there were always more tricks than treats!
As I watched from the shadows, Bart crept through the neighborhood like a ghost, his paws silent on the cobbled streets. One by one, he popped up at doors, scratching just enough to get the humans curious. When they opened the door, there he'd sit, staring with his big, innocent eyes. They'd reach out to pet him, trick! Bart would slip right past them and make a beeline for the treats on the table!
Bart's trickster ways were unstoppable. He had a mysterious way of making humans give him treats without even realizing it. But that night, I swear, I saw something magical. As he grabbed another treat, a shiver ran down my spine. Was that... bubbles floating around him? And his paws seemed to glow in the moonlight! Bart glanced my way, a knowing gleam in his eyes. He'd tricked everyone, even Halloween itself!
