Any fans of old trains here?
Today we are taking Historical wooden train called Nostalgia. 🚂
It goes trough mountain tunnels with beautiful landscapes and its trail is shaped as number 8.
That's amazing 💜 It must have been an incredible experience growing up with such a close connection to trains. The sound of the train moving is indeed soothing. 🚂
I hate trains in general, but I love these historical ones ( perhaps because I love anything related to history )
Thank you for the lesson!
Have a blessed day🌹
Little History for all train lovers, this train tracks (called narrow tracks) started to be built in 1921, during Austro- Hungarian empire here in Serbia. It was supposed to connect cities in the mountain and beat elevation of 300m. Prisoners from this period started building tracks, and one of them was engineer, who was promised to be freed from life sentence if he finds solution. Unfortunately he didn’t, and he committed suicide. His colleague found the mistake in plan and fixed it and first train left ridded this track on 1925 🚂 the solution was to build tracks going in shape of number 8 long 2,7km with tunnels trough the mountain. There is a view point where 2 tunnels and tracks are visible creating illusion that there is 3 different tracks in one place.
Absolutely! 💜 I love old trains too. 🚂 In India, the first passenger train ran in 1853 from Bombay to Thane. Another famous old train is the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, known as the “Toy Train,” which started in 1881 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Exploring these trains is like traveling back in time! 🌄🚃
