I have been going down the rabbit hole of traditional indigo dye from Japan🎏

In my past career as a costume designer for musical theatre I spent thousands of hours dying and manipulating fabric.

I am in the process of capturing the thrill and exitment I felt every time I got the colour just right, the organic inorganic nature of the dye merging with fabric.
