This is my genesis composition using generative AI for music. 🤖🎼

I treated the AI component of the track similar to how samples would be used in hip hop or lo-fi beats. Most of the composition is my own, but the kernel of the track is based on the AI output.

Generative audio using AI is an interesting subject. Unlike many AI image generators that allow commercial use of the image, Stable Audio (the model used for this track) requires a license / monthly subscription to use the audio commercially. So this is probably the last time I’ll use this platform… But I’m definitely interested in the possibility of rolling my own model and training it locally with original music.
