Chawarawa is a word from the language of the native Wottuja community that means "friend", "brother". In this video I am with my chawarawas in the Amazon jungle; specifically in the community of the shaman Rufino Ponare, grandfather Jattupa, who keeps alive his culture and ancestral traditions - a very important and beautiful part of our identity as Venezuelans -and as humans-. This video was taken in one of my trips there. A magical moment of sharing what I love the most: singing and expressing myself through music.

My journey meeting this community and their traditions has nurtured more the desire to found an audiovisual producer/creative community for creation, education, curation, onboarding, and building bridges for social impact called Chawarawa - a network of culture and collaboration connecting roots and technology.

I'll repost this soon in a better quality!
