Danila Shmelev, aka Shozy, is a Moscow-born urban artist who emerged in early 2000. He studied art and design and spent four years at the MHIP (Moscow Institute of Art & Industrial) while frequenting the studios of classical Russian painters. Since 2010, Shozy has bee working in his signature style rooted in 3D and optical illusion. For this year's edition of the Urban Morphogenesis festival in Moscow, Shozy has made a captivating and optically challenging mural. Titled The Wave Is Coming, the murals creates a visual effect as if the building distorts and extends in real time and space.
