Thanks so much for such kind words and thoughts about this!!! It means a lot to me when something as simple as a photographic image can convey something so deep when most photographs we see today are by chance, a stroke of luck, right place at the right time, without a budget resource to create from scratch. At that point it’s up to us to only release images that are capable of conveying meaning and this one just so happened to..
As for the image… this was a wild adventure / trip to the mountains that was technically a second date after only knowing her for about 5 hours over coffee and a stroll. A quickly formed explosive romance that, now in hindsight, leaves many things to question, seen in the ripples. The reflection hazy compared to the figure clear. Things I may have ignored at the time while caught up in the moment. A special one in a special place that I’ll remember forever even though there was no long term plan for us in the universe other than to enjoy our time while together.
Chosen family is important
Many are too glued to the phone to observe actions then act shocked when they get played for fools.
Her style is easily recognizable in the Lens feed, whether in her mysterious nature photographs or her bright palettes.

How I often feel expressing my thoughts / beliefs relative to the creative world - alone. It’s tough not being a bought & paid for puppet in a hive mind virtual world of ass kissing. I’ve seen it all. I have never been surrounded by photographers “more successful” than me who came from anywhere close to as little as I have. No adversity faced. All privilege & resources therefore eternal marketing opportunities for rich kids that paints a picture of fame for all to see, for all to use as a judgment standard, but pull back the curtain & you may have unhappy, or even depressed, celebrity types who aren’t actually masters of their craft, & they know it, just have always had enough money to never fail & are masters of the facade. How do you fight a fight for the greater good in the creative field if this is your environment? The short answer is: you don’t. You can’t, otherwise you are instead berated & ridiculed, urged to keep your mouth shut because you’re too negative, to stop complaining & “just work harder.” There is no union possible with these kinds of people unless you are personally serving them in some way, but any union certainly won’t be for your fight.
