100% agree, truly decentralized tech won't have to worry about government attacks and the centralized, for-profit services I mentioned are not the answer. They're clearly pain points that allow movements to be taken down swiftly. But the other problem is that more of the people are on the centralized platforms so you have to speak to the audience in the terms they understand. You have to first get them afraid of their Discord server being erased before you can convince them that there are better options. I also avoid talking about finance as much as possible when on normie platforms. This post was written for Instagram and I didn't edit for a crypto audience. I agree with many of your takes and feel that same level of disappointment bordering on anger feeling like I don't have many people that agree or even see these issues on either side. We're in a tough spot where we have to use centralized tech to promote the benefits of decentralized tech. Even if we can get everyone using decentralized tech, your IPS is still a centralized company that can silence individuals viewed as dissidents one IP address at a time.
